Why People Fail Early in Their Life
As any successful person will honestly admit, Failure happens, and we've all had our fair share of it. But from each failure, we learn two equally valuable lessons. One, there was at least one reason why we failed. And the second, we can be rebound from the failure.
Failure is unfortunately unavoidable part of life. However, what most people don't understand is that before success comes profound failure. You should learn from your failures to enjoy the sweetness of success. Here are some common reasons why people fail early in their life.
1) Lack of Self Confidence / Self Esteem
Self Confidence and Self Esteem are inter connected with each other. Your level of self-confidence determines your self-esteem. People with low self-confidence are constantly trying to find themselves rather than creating the person they want to be. Don't label yourself. You might have failed but you are not a failure until you stop trying. People who are confident in their work lead a successful life as compared to those who lack confidence. It is very important for you to believe in you that you can achieve your goal and you can become a successful person. People with strong self-confidence do not fear from failure and they continue to try until they succeed.
2) Lack of Motivation
Many people are simply satisfied with what they are and where they are in their life. As such, they don't explore what else is available or what greater things they could achieve in their life. This is all because of lack of self-confidence. Motivation and enthusiasm build your interest in work. You are automatically urged to perform better than before. Research shows that there are only two motivating factors that cause people to change and they are: Pain and Pleasure. If a person fails, then he'll feel pain and he may take this pain as a motivation to change his life. Or if a person succeeds, then he'll feel pleasure and this pleasure motivates him to go further away to get more success. So motivation is a key factor for success.
3) Lack of Persistence
Many people fail not because they lack knowledge or talent but because they just simply quit. For some people, failing once means never trying again. But there is a lot to be said to those who bounce back and keep trying. It's important to remember two words: persistence and resistance. Persist in what must be done and resist what ought not to be done. The secret behind the success of many people is that they don't give up. Don't get too discouraged after failing once or twice. Keep going and you are more likely to get what you want.
4) They Don't Have a Goal
You can't succeed if you don't know what you want. If you have not defined what constitutes a success, you can't ever reach it. In order to set a goal, you need to understand the purpose behind the goal setting and then develop the relevant strategies to follow your plan. People with no goals tend to become the follower of the herd. Success does not come to them. So, to become successful in your life setting a goal to follow is very important.
5) They Have Too Many Excuses
Excuses can only get you so far. Instead of making excuses that why you've failed, try thinking what the real reasons behind your failure. The sooner you face these reasons, the sooner you'll get back to the track of success. Address any major issues and get back on your feet as quickly as possible.
6) Lack of Hard Work
The path to success is never an easy road. Some of the most fruitful goals are also most challenging and also require a lot of hard work. One cannot expect to become successful over a single night without doing hard work. As Jack Ma said: Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow will be the sunshine.
